This is the second in my line of eco-friendly, nature-inspired tote bags. Made out of a durable, recycled wool Army blanket and lined with a little blue and green flower print made from cotton placemats (new, never used). The front is hand-embroidered with a tree motif, also from the same lining fabric, and decorated with vintage buttons and more Army blanket wool. All recycled / upcycled materials are machine- washed before I sew with them.

Bag: 15 in. tall by 17 in. wide.

Handles: 22 in. in length (11-inch rise from the top of the tote).

This lunch tote is stylish and eco-friendly! Made of very cool wood grain-looking oilcloth and graphic flower oilcloth, it can be easily wiped clean. Closes with industrial-strengh sticky-back Velcro. A bit larger than a standard brown paper lunch bag, and much more kind to the Earth! This bag is not insulated, so be sure to add an ice pack!

What a perfect gift for Mother’s Day! This primitive kangaroo is 13 in tall and about 6 in wide at the bottom (not including her tail). Her baby Joey is about 3 ½ in long from top to bottom.

Both are made of muslin, a recycled cotton pink oxford striped shirt (I always thoroughly machine wash in warm my recycled items), and new cotton polka dot fabric for the pouch. They are stuffed with polyfil (mom has some beans too for weight). Both have hand embroidery details and each is wearing a very soft minky dot green fleece scarf. They are not for children, as mom kangaroo has vintage button eyes.

This baby blanket looks so delicious! And it feels just as heavenly as it looks. One side is made of high quality 100% cotton cherry print fabric, while the other side is an incredibly SOFT cotton, watermelon print, flannel. The little watermelons are embroidered, and the whole blanket is very tactile, great for a baby’s curious fingers.

It is bound in another great black, tiny cherry print fabric. It measures about 30 in by 40 in. All fabrics were pre-washed and the blanket can be washed in warm and tumbled dry. It does not have batting inside…it’s a great light weight summer blanket.

I love this blanket so much I am going back to the store to get more fabric!

This is my newest tote bag, and I am planning more with many different nature motifs! It measures 13 in. tall by 15 in. wide by 4 ½ in. deep.

Made out of a durable, recycled wool Army blanket and lined with an adorable pink flower print from a Laura Ashley skirt. The lining is tacked to the outer fabric so it doesn't pull out when you take things out of your bag. All recycled materials are machine-washed before I sew with them.

The handles are made a from a sturdy canvas belt and are 12 in. in length.

The front is hand-embroidered with a cute flower motif, also from the same lining fabric, and a vintage button. The only new materials used were the thread, the pink felt on the flower, and some iron-on adhesive for the flower and leaf. I am glad to combine shipping on multiple orders.

This original fairy painting is only the 3rd one I have ever done, and I love it! I would keep it, but I have already kept my first two!

Petunia the Fairy just looks like she takes her job seriously! She is painted with acrylic paints and watercolor pencils, and her wings are made with collage paper. I thought about painting her hair a normal color…but she’s a fairy, for heaven’s sake…why can’t her hair be bright pink? Why stop there? I also made her hair sparkly with glitter paint.

She is done on gallery-wrapped (no staples on the sides) thick 10” x 10” x 1 ½ ”canvas. No need to frame! On the back, I added a sawtooth hanger and signed it “Paula Arnold” with the date and the Planet-Love-A-Lot logo. The painting was sprayed with 2 coats of archival, non-yellowing sealer to protect it.

My aim here was to provide a stylish, affordable eco-friendly alternative to plastic or paper grocery bags. I constructed this tote with a striking graphic print outdoor fabric and white cotton duck canvas lining. Both fabrics are washable, very durable, and also can eventually be recycled. Many eco-bags are made of a coated material, which itself is difficult to recycle.

It’s dimensions are 19” wide by 12” tall (not including handles). It is a good size for groceries…not too small but also not so large that the bag is too heavy to carry. Do your part to save the earth!

This graphic flower sling bag was handmade by me, Paula. It was constructed with a striking graphic print outdoor fabric, which is extremely durable, and lined with beautiful aqua blue linen. It is a large purse, 24” wide by 10 ½ “ tall (at the middle point).

It has a button closure…the button is covered in the linen fabric. It has a large (10 ½” x 9 ½”) pocket inside. The strap is about 20” all the way around, perfect for slinging over your shoulder.

Paula

Daisy Bunny is an eco-friendly plush animal handmade by me, Paula. She is about 14” tall and made from a recycled quilted daisy pillow sham, and two recycled blue-striped cotton blouses. I always wash and dry any thrift store items before using them and I live in a smoke-free house. Daisy’s eyes are vintage yellow buttons from my grandmother’s button collection. Her nose is embroidered in yellow and she is stuffed with polyfil. Because of her button eyes, she is not for children under three. I am glad to combine shipping on multiple orders.
