A TRIPLE!

- Anne

My little Andrew hit a TRIPLE today! and would have had a in the park HOME RUN if they would have allowed it…A TRIPLE!! I almost FLIPPED OUT!!! He SLAMMED THE BALL! SLAMMED IT! I just stood there with a smile in my heart as my little one ran to first…then second….then third….and then HOME…I WAS FLIPPING FLIPPING OUT…then they sent him back to 3rd…but, it was OK…he has come SO SO SO SO FAR. It was just AWESOME!

Andrew has ALWAYS wanted to be a catcher and today…first inning…first game….opening day…he was chosen to be the catcher!! HE was beyond excited in his little mask, shin guards, and little chest protector!! He could BARELY move, but, my GOD…it was so precious!!!

Adam put his little Tball uniform on for team photos and is just ITCHING to get out and play! He has his first game next Tuesday and he is PUMPED up for it! I can’t wait to see it either!!

I love my little boys in uniform….they are just so proud…..so free….and doing what the LOVE!

You will NOT guess what we got on the way home from baseball!! We stopped at a yard sale (surprise!!) and they each got HOCKEY STICKS!!! The man actually sawed the handles down to their size and retaped them !! It was so so so CUTE to see them so excited about REALLY old and worn out sticks.. They play with a tennis ball here in the summer…so, he got them each a tennis ball and gave it to them. IT WAS AN AWESOME DAY!

We barely knew where things were in our old house…..now……it is a LOST cause!

Our coversations consist of

1. have you seen the…..?

2. did we bring the …..?

3. where did you put the…..?

Given the above, frustration is my best friend. This house is bigger. The boys have MANY more places to make messes. MANY… We have only had an official “playroom” for a day …….but, let me say……..I AM IN LOVE with a downstairs playroom! IN LOVE LOVE!

We have decided that we deserve a reward for all of this. We are going to buy ourselves a huge, flat, plasma TV to hang on our wall. Like HUGE! We know NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING about what to look for, what the different features are to be considered “important”…etc. Any one out there in bloggy land consider themselves “in the know” about this?  If so, please give us a brainfull of stats.  I feel a bit guilty about enduldging on such a large/unnecessary purchase right now…..but, we both agree (don’t fall off your chair!!) …we both need a “treat”. Sort of the light at the end of the tunnel for us I guess.

Sunday was hard. We ususally get to spend time with family and or friends on the weekends and we miss it SO SO SO MUCH! The boys are very very homesick and put themselves in boxes tonight and requested to be mailed back to the United States. ….and part of them was 100% serious! Adam says that he wants to play with his “TMNT” with Tommy and Star Wars with Cole. Andrew is missing his “women” quite a bit. I can’t believe what a little ladies man he is!

Tomorrow is the first day of school for the boys. I am worried sick, but, we have decided just to stick with this for now….and see how it goes. We are going to attend the open houses for the private schools in the area since they are doing them soon….just to see what else is out there for next year if we need it.  They also start Tball & Baseball in a few weeks. I personally can’t wait for that one because it just seems NORMAL for us to do sports with them….and on a new team…EVERYONE IS NEW! So, we won’t be the odd ones out! :-)

The moving guys come back tomorrow to unpack us and remove our boxes/debris….so, hopefully the house will be shaping up a bit by then.  Claire has her doubts…

My camera battery died and I can not find the charger. …so, I HOPE to find that SOON too !!!

Good Night!
