What a NIGHT!

- Anne

WOW…what a night! WHAT A NIGHT! James Taylor was simply stunning! More than I have ever dreamed !! He was just TOO COOL! The music just filled the stadium and the beat filled my soul. IT WAS SO SO SO GOOD!

Claire and I were relaxed because the boys were PUMPED about being babysat by Katie, our neighbor. We walked around the fairgrounds, had dinner, and watched a few more marching bands and fiddlers! :-) It was just RELAXING not to have to referee, keep track of little people, and more than anything…it was so nice to just be together alone! We planned a night out the first week we were in Calgary, but our babysitter fell through…so this was our first  time out in almost 4 MONTHS! CRAZY HUH?? Well it work…we connected….laughed….cried (the sweet music at the concert) …and of COURSE had a little adventure along the way! The night ended with a really funny trip home! I will post the video in a little while. VERY VERY FUNNY!. We arrived at home to find that the boys were so happy and content and that our babysitter played with them all night long. They woke up this morning and told us how great a time they had and asked us to go out more OFTEN !! Claire is back at work today after a fun weekend of putting huge swing sets together, stampede adventures, and the best part of all…a much needed date night!

Seriously, the public resource in Calgary are Amazing! AMAZING!

We walked down to the train station (free) and came to the library. We returned our 2nd HUGE batch of items (7 videos and 17 books) and headed upstairs to pick out more. The boys were very excited to find the kids station had NO children on the computers OR a waiting list. The kids here are back in school and they are the ONLY kids in the kids section! They said they were the KING KIDS today.

It is sort of funny walking around with kids downtown on a school day. People must assume they are home schooled…sick….or SOMETHING, but, they do get a 2nd look! The novacaine(no IDEA how to spell it) is wearing off a bit, but, I do not feel any pain. I think the pain of having a partial tooth in there for this long is MUCH worse than any feeling I could have now.

The dentist asked if the pain from this tooth has bothered me in any way or caused me to be irritable. I laughed! Me….irritable?? COME ON! I won first place for irritability for the last few days…now we know WHY! I am SURE there are a few other reasons…but, I do feel a BIG sense of relief from this.

I am going to the accupuncturist tomorrow. I really believe in them. I have only gone 3 times in my entire life, but, each time the lasting effect has been tremendous. My hip is really bothering me from this horrible bed we have been sleeping in and my energy level is toxic. I really know that releasing some chemicals in this body can’t hurt…even though it creeps most people out.

The big news is…WE HAVE A BABYSITTER for tomorrow evening! We are only going out to dinner, but, I can’t tell you how EXCITED I am about the whole thing! I have also hired this person to assist us on Saturday when the moving truck gets here. She will make sure the boys are entertained, fed, and kept safe while all the moving is happening. My relocation book told me to do that for the moving day in NH, but, I did not pay attention….I am now….live and learn. It is too difficult to be able to parent and move….it is  TOO HARD…I hope she works out ok. She sounds really nice and since we will be right there, I don’t have to worry too  much about them being with a stranger for a long period.

I will blog with Claire about the school visit tonight. It is sort of funny…I will let Claire help me tell the story.

I am going grab my little guys from their little learning kiosks and find a yummy place for lunch.

I am ok with Calgary today. ..it is all sort of shaping up…in an odd way.

Tomorrow is officially YatesLaberge.com “WHAT DID U DO TODAY”…your turn to tell it all :-) I personally can’t wait to hear the updates.
