today was another insane roller-coaster day

 We got a call at 8:56 am from the probate court.  The court clerk said “the judge wants you both to come down and fill out an affidavit and submit a motion to waive the home study”. I replied “we already have had a home study”. She said “well, the judge said to do them both and then she will issue her decree”….

 OK, at the moment in time, my heart stopped ….WE HAVE OUR KIDS!! OH MY GOD!! WE HAVE OUR KIDS!!! I FLEW into the shower, and SOBBED the entire time. I drove ALL the way to Nashua, Dixie Chicks as LOUD as possible. I met my wonderful wife Claire and we hugged, knowing that this was FINALLY HERE! We go in, and the bomb DROPS!! She is not going to issue the FINAL order, ONLY SOME SORT OF WEIRD INTERMEDIATE ORDER!!!

Honestly, I just can’t take it anymore!!!! I guess when she talked to me, she thought it was the final order. BUT, when I raised the question about the homestudy, she called back and asked the judge about it, the judge told her it was only a temporary order to grant custody for us. Then the day got worse and worse. …the email address that was given to us in order to have the Ukrainian and Republic of Georgia embassy’s write letters of “they are really single, let them adopt their kids”…..was NOT GOOD! The woman who has the email address was out due to surgery!!! We asked that someone retrieve the email because it is NOT easy to get a FOREIGN country to EMAIL someone about the case the was deliberated 7 years ago in ANOTHER COUNTRY!!!! I actually had gotten this DONE and the email was sitting in a computer that no one has ACCESS TO!!! Well, I asked the “boss” as he declared himself earlier in the day, and he LOST HIS MIND ON ME!!! He said that “we were lucky that this case had not just been dismissed” and when I asked for a new email address to send it to….he let me know that our case was put in the front of others….I said “it just stinks that the court gave me an email address that can not be accessed”……..he says “a LOT of things stink about this case”!!!! WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT MEAN?????????????????????????????????

ANYWAY!!

The Ukrainian Embassy wrote the letter today and emailed it to me and the court house, to a NEW email address……so that is simply TERIFFIC news!! Now, the letter they sent me is a letter the judge said was “too expensive and too lengthy of a process for us to have to endure”, so she asked for a document that is in a cave in Montana (no KIDDING that is where it is)!!!!! Senator Judd Gregg of NH (his office) is helping me get the form that requests the information Congressional expedited, but that still could take weeks to accomplish. Either way,  pending her accepting the Ukrainian letter, Andrew is clear and can be declared a child of mine AND Claire’s!! :-)  Thank you Ukraine….thank you…..

The lunar eclipse was a really neat part of the day…..I tried so hard to take a photo of it, it is so hard to do!!
